I am often asked, “Why wood?”<\/em> Wood is warm, familiar, organic and ultimately alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Perfect for conducting memories. Something to touch… not impersonal as plastic (a chemical formula),<\/strong> or cold to the touch as metal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grain is individual, and yet marks every species distinctively.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our eyes see shape, but we also see the grain. Grain is a life lived.<\/em> It is a surface with a past.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every piece is the result of a collaboration. The life of the wood, and the shape the<\/strong>\u00a0sculptor gives it. It is a unique connection between artist and medium,\u00a0<\/strong>past and present, something crafted, yet something living.<\/strong><\/p>\n
